Dear Boger
Thank you for taking this first step towards what we hope will be an incredible journey for you this December. Please read the following carefully before completing this form. The chances of you being placed where you wish will greatly increase if your form comes in early.
Instructions:
Dates for Camp:
A-Guard: Wednesday 30 November – Thursday 8 December (Flights leave JHB at 08h45). If you are a JHB Boger and cannot make this flight, please urgently contact the VP to plan your alternative arrangements. For Plett Rage participants, there will be a bus leaving from Plett on Saturday 3 December. All Plett Rage Bogrim Ones must arrive at A-Guard by the afternoon of Sat 3 December should they wish to be madrichim.
Camp: Thursday 8 December – Wednesday 28 December
Rear-Guard: Wednesday 28 December – Friday 30 December (the date of Rear-Guard bus back to JHB is still to be confirmed – it will leave sometime after the New Year). Rear-Guard is compulsory for all Bogrim (including Meyasdim, Chetz and Shichvat Admins)
Madrichim placement: Please do not approach any Roshim directly. The placement of madrichim is done by the Va’ad Poel in consultation with the Roshim, and we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice. It is necessary that all placements are balanced according to where we think you will be of most benefit to the wider machaneh. Please note that placing madrichim is a lengthy process, so please allow the Va’ad Poel the necessary time to facilitate every Boger’s application. If you are concerned or wondering why your placement is taking a bit of time, please don’t hesitate to contact us (campvp2011@habo.org.za). All first time madrichim will have a short interview with a member of the Camp VP. We are implementing a compulsory hadracha course this year to ensure all madrichim are properly equipped with the necessary hadracha for machaneh this year.
*Please note that Bogrim 1's (Matrics) can only lead in the lower three shichavot, while Bogrim 2's cannot lead in Shomrim. Anyone not attending machaneh for the entire time must gain permission from the VP. If you are not attending for the entire time, you cannot be a shichvah madrich, but may join a tzevet as a Shichvat Admin (see below), or serve on the Meyasdim or Chetz teams.
Where to hand this form in: Complete online, OR give to us directly, OR fax JHB office on 011 786 7047.
