Since February 2013, the ‘VP’, elected by the Hanhagga (National Executive), has envisaged, led, planned and executed every facet of Machaneh 2013, from the educational direction to all aspects of the massive logistical operation.

Currently in her second year of movement work and living in a Habo bayit for the fourth year in a row, this girl will cater to your every need this machaneh! Whether it’s a complaint, a compliment, an issue or you just want to hang out in the office, Roxy promises that every single channich/a and boger/et will leave machaneh happy, healthy and as in love with Habo as she is. She completed an undergrad in English and Classical Studies at UCT in 2011 and is now Mazkira Klalit of Habonim.

Planes, trains, buses and bicycles are her forte. Wherever you want to go, Sarah is your girl! Living in the Cape Town bayit for the second year in a row, she eats, breathes, sleeps and lives Habo. In her spare time, she tutors and is in her final year of history and psychology at UCT.
Rosh Chinnuch (Education) - Ilan Price
Rosh South Africa Tour 2013, S’gan Rosh Machaneh Lev Ha’noar 2012, Israel Leadership Tour Participant 2012, National Shnat Co-ordinator 2012, S’gan Rosh Sayarim Machaneh Bonim Atid 2011, Rosh Meoravut Cape Town 2011, S’gan Rosh Mini Machaneh Cape Town 2011, Shnat Participant 2010 He can play the guitar, sing in Xhosa and balance on one arm all at the same time. On the VP for a second year in a row, Ilan has spent years in the movement perfecting his chinnuchic skills. So any kind of educational emergency and he’s your man! He is currently in his final year of maths and philosophy at UCT.

This VP veteran undoubtedly won machaneh for being in so many places at once. Tent keeps falling down? Shower door won’t stay closed? Need to get your trommel to camp? Love the new discs? Need some paper to write home? Ryan is the man of the hour! He is currently in his final year of engineering at UCT.
VP Shaliach - Yaniv Nachmias
VP Shaliach Machaneh Lev Ha’noar 2012, Cape Town Community Shaliach (since 2011), Habonim Shaliach (since 2011), Sollelim Shaliach Machaneh Bonim Atid 2011 This Israeli is back for a second year on the VP! Part-time family man, part-time Habo and community shaliach and full-time legend. Ensuring that all shichavot experience the most memorable tiyulim, leading us all in an incredible chanukkah celebration and making sure that every single channich/a and madrich/a is constantly smiling, Yaniv is the friendliest guy around! He lives in Cape Town with his two children (Noam and Ido) and lovely wife Maya.
VP Shaliach - Yaron Shiponi
Sayarim Shaliach Machaneh Lev Ha’noar 2012, Johannesburg Community Shaliach (since 2012), World Zionist Organisation, Habonim Shaliach (since 2012) Known to many as “hashtag” this kibbutznic has never even used Twitter before. He has a sense of humour that will have you rolling on the floor! Yaron has joined forces with the VP for what promises to be the best machaneh yet! Making sure that our site is environmentally friendly, that all sports tournaments are a success and that every Israeli on machaneh is having a good time, he brings a fresh and exciting element to the machaneh leadership. He lives in Joburg with his son (Daniel), soon-to-be-born-baby and amazing wife Noa.
The Va’ad Machaneh (Machaneh Executive)
The ‘VM’ is the elected leadership of the machaneh. It is made up of the Roshim and Sganim of the shichavot, as well as the Mitbach and Chetz leadership teams. The individuals who make up this body are democratically elected by the Bogrim of the movement. Election to the Va’ad Machaneh is in recognition of one’s commitment and dedication, educational strength, overall ability and leadership skills. This body will be elected by the movement's hanhaggah (national executive) at the end of July.
